Disclosed is a method for producing a honeycomb structure in which a honeycomb composite body can be stably formed in which triangle segments are arranged in corners without requiring auxiliary members or the like, and reducing the manufacturing efficiency or increasing the cost. The method for producing the honeycomb structure includes a molding body forming step, a firing step, a triangular segment forming step, a composite body forming step, and a peripheral grinding step, and the composite body forming step further comprises a pressing step in which a press plant 50 employing a press 52 is used comprising a cross section having a shape analogous to a triangular section 31 of a triangular segment 30 and an inclined pressing side surface P which can abut an inclined side surface F3, and a press driving section 53, which press 52 along a pressing direction PD perpendicular to the first side surface or moves to the second side surface of the triangular segment 30 and thus presses the triangle segment when the inclined pressing side surface P abuts the inclined side surface F3. |
