abstract The invention relates to a hybrid supercapacitor (1) comprising at least one positive electrode (22) and at least one negative electrode (21), the positive electrode (22) comprising an active material composition comprising: - 87.5 to 96.5 wt. % of an active material, 2.5 to 7.5% by weight of an at least conductive additive, and 1 to 5% by weight of at least one binder; the positive electrode active material (22) is a composition comprising: a) 30 to 40% by weight of LiMnO (LMO) and b) 60 to 70% by weight of activated carbon; the negative electrode (21) comprises an active material composition comprising: 62 to 94% by weight of an active material, 5 to 30% by weight of at least one conductive additive, and 1 to 8% by weight of at least one binder; the negative electrode active material (21) is a composition comprising: a) 90 to 100% by weight of LiTiO (LTO) and b) 0 to 10% by weight of activated carbon; and wherein the weight ratio of the negative electrode active material composition (21) to the positive electrode (22) is in a range of 0.3 to 0.7.
