According to various embodiments, a method for determining a non-therapeutic treatment of teeth, which comprises applying a vital dye that stains plaque to the teeth, measuring a coloring of the teeth resulting from the vital dye by means of an optical sensor, determining a plaque -Bearing of the teeth based on the measured coloring, and determining a non-therapeutic treatment of the teeth based on the determined plaque load of the teeth. |
