Process for the treatment of converter slag for the purpose of recycling iron, wherein a converter slag is brought into contact with oxygen, such that by turbulence the slag is mixed and existing iron and iron oxide components are oxidized and the slag then in the vessel so long or a vessel is allowed to stand until a segregation into a solidifying, silicate and phosphorus-rich first fraction has taken place and has taken place in an underlying, liquid iron oxide-rich second fraction, wherein the converter slag used with a partial stream of the iron oxide -rich second fraction is mixed such that the total FeO content of the slag to be treated with oxygen is above 35 wt .-%, so that the separation into two fractions is possible. |
