titleOfInvention Beam former with optical freeform surfaces and laser optics with such a beam former
abstract The invention relates to a beam former comprising two optical elements (1, 2) arranged one behind the other along an optical axis (z). Each optical element (1, 2) has at least one optically effective free-form surface (1.1, 1.2). The optical elements (1, 2) are arranged displaceably relative to one another along at least one axis (x) arranged perpendicular to the optical axis (z) by a relative displacement (Δx). The optically effective freeform surfaces (1.1, 2.1) have a height profile (Δz (x, y)), which is described as Polynomentwicklung having polynomial coefficients of finitely many polynomial of zero, at least one of polynomial order greater than three associated polynomial coefficient of Zero is different. The height profiles (Δz (x, y)) of the at least two free-form surfaces (1.1, 2.1) are selected such that input beams (ES) distributed rotationally symmetrically around the optical axis (z) with a Gaussian radiance profile are refracted into output beams (AS) bounded within a trapping plane (B, B ') within a rectangular cross-section and uniformly distributed about the optical axis (z), the distance of the trapping plane (B, B') and the circumference of the limiting rectangular cross-section being defined by relative exercise (Δx) the at least two optical elements (1, 2) are mutually variable.
