It is envisaged that the precursor is a compound of formula I: whereinRound Run are each independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, unsubstituted or substituted CC-alkyl which may optionally be modified by incorporation of at least one group X into the carbon chain, unsubstituted or unsubstituted substituted CC alkenyl which may be optionally modified by incorporation of at least one group X into the carbon chain, substituted or unsubstituted alkylaryl, substituted or unsubstituted arylalkyl comprises substituted or unsubstituted aryl and substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl, is a purely chiral auxiliary selected from the group which comprises substituted or unsubstituted C 1 -C 5 -alkylsulfinyl, substituted or unsubstituted arylsulfinyl-substituted or unsubstituted arylalkyl and substituted or unsubstituted arylglycinol, X is selected from the group consisting of Sauers toff, sulfur, -SO-, -SO- and -N (R) -, RWater, unsubstituted or substituted CC-alkyl, unsubstituted or substituted CC-alkenyl, substituted or unsubstituted aryl and substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl, and optionally unprotected or protected.
