abstract The invention relates to an evaporator unit (100) for evaporating liquids, in particular for the evaporation of formic acid for controlling Varroa mites in hives (BB), comprising at least one reservoir (2) for the liquid, a wicking card receiving the liquid and releasing by evaporation (S8 ) and a wick card (S8) receiving unit (6), wherein the unit (6) for discharging the liquid to the wick card (S9) in an assembled state of the evaporator unit (10) is reversibly in communication with the reservoir (2). According to the invention, the evaporator unit (100) comprises a rail-like fastening element (10) in which the reservoir (2) is reversibly arranged in the assembled state of the evaporator unit (100), wherein the reservoir (2), the unit (6) and the rail-like fastening element (10) are dimensioned such that the evaporator unit (100) by means of the rail-like fastening element (10) without supernatant both in a adapted to the most common types of loot new standard honeycomb frames (LR ') and with a small projection over the respective beam width the most colorful honeycomb lame frames (LR) can be arranged universally.
