abstract The present invention comprises a salt of the phosphonic acid of formula (1) according to claim 1 which forms a stoichiometric salt with a phosphonate anion and a cation of formula (2), wherein the total of the cation of formula (2) is up to four having quaternized N or P atoms. The phosphonic acid of the general formula (1) in this case has at least 2 phosphonic acid groups. The proposed class of substances are suitable for the simultaneous removal of corrosive deposits and / or limescale deposits as well as for the removal of organic soils with simultaneous advantageous disinfection of a metal surface. Furthermore, the proposed phosphonate salts are suitable for dissolving cations of divalent and trivalent metals in organic phases or in ionic liquids.
