Chromium steel with high corrosion resistance and high wear resistance with improved electrochemical anisotropy and machinability consisting of 0.3 to 0.55% carbon, 0.04 to 0.25% nitrogen, 0.20 to 0.90% silicon, 0.30 to 0 , 90% manganese, up to 0.03% sulfur, 15 to 18% chromium, 0.5 to 2% molybdenum, 0.10 to 0.40% tungsten, 0.50 to 1.00% nickel, 0.10 to 0.45% vanadium, 0.01 to 0.15% niobium, to 0.05% titanium, 0.05 to 0.50% copper, to 0.40% rare earth metals, 0.005 to 0.030% aluminum, to 0, 15% zirconium, up to 0.02% boron and up to 0.035% phosphorus, the remainder being iron, including impurities caused by melting. Chromium steel has particular suitability, in particular for the production of shear foils or thin sheets, in particular for perforated foils, grid foils, filter inserts, separating sieves and filtration drums. |
