titleOfInvention HF resonator arrangement
abstract An RF resonator arrangement (100) for generating at least two independent alternating magnetic fields in an examination volume (V) of a magnetic resonance apparatus extended along a central longitudinal axis (z), comprising a first pair of flat coils (11, 12) connected to a first RF resonator (10) with electrical conductor sections which each surround a planar surface section, the flat coils projecting on first coil support plates (13, 14) parallel to each other and to the longitudinal axis are arranged opposite sides of the examination volume (V), a second pair of flat coils (21, 22) connected to a second RF resonator (20) on second coil carrier plates (23, 24), characterized that the projections of the planar surface portions of the first pair of pancake coils in a direction perpendicular to these planar surface portions partially, but not completely overlap, and that the projections of the planar surface portions of the second pair of pancake coils in a direction perpendicular to these planar surface portions also partially, but not completely, overlap. Thus, disadvantages of the prior art can be overcome, in particular further RF resonators can be accommodated in an NMR measuring probe.
