titleOfInvention Training model for minimally invasive percutaneous image-based intervention techniques
abstract A training model is provided which represents an at least external anatomical shape of the human or animal body. The training model is designed to practice minimally invasive percutaneous image-guided intervention techniques, with the material and shape of the training model and its components selected for ultrasound, MRI and CT examination, as well as for puncture and palpation. The training model comprises a rigid, anatomically shaped, made of a plastic base body, which has a segment-like recess, which is the training region forming an externally accessible intervention window. The intervention window has at least one body part which is surrounded by a soft body without air, wherein the at least one body part is an anatomical reproduction of bones, ligaments, tendons, muscles, joint capsules, vertebrae or intervertebral discs. The at least one body part is arranged in the intervention window so that it corresponds to the correct anatomical position and can be felt by the composition and elastic nature of the soft body. The soft body is air-free and exchangeable and corresponds to a tissue equivalent. Due to the composition and elastic nature of the soft body surrounding and underlying replicas of body parts are palpable. Furthermore, the soft body has at least partially an elastic skin coating.
