The present invention relates to a device for determining the concentration of a base, and in particular hydrogencarbonate, wherein the device contains at least one pH indicator, at least one solid acid and a mixture of at least one anionic surfactant and at least one nonionic surfactant. The invention also relates to a method for measuring the base concentration using the device according to the invention and to a method for increasing the sensitivity of a test device. |
