An object of the invention are core-shell composite particles, wherein the core is a silicon particle-containing, porous, carbon-based matrix, in which silicon particles are enclosed in pores of the matrix and the pores containing silicon particles have a diameter of ≥ 60 nm (determination method: scanning electron microscopy (SEM)), wherein the shell is obtainable by carbonation of one or more carbon precursors selected from the group comprising tars, pitches, hardcarbon, soft carbon and hydrocarbons having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, resulting in an unporous shell. |
