titleOfInvention Injector for eye implant
abstract An injector (1) for the implantation of a sensor implant (2) in the human or animal eye, in particular for the suprachoroidal implantation of a pressure sensor for the wireless measurement of the intraocular pressure, is improved with respect to a rapid, uncomplicated, trauma-sparing and material-sparing suprachoroidal implantation in that the injector ( 1) for receiving the sensor implant (2) has a substantially tubular injection chamber (8) whose inner wall surfaces (9, 10) have a non-rotationally symmetrical cross section, preferably an oval or rectangular cross section, that the injection chamber (8) at a free end is provided with an injection port (13) through which the sensor implant (2) can slide during implantation and slide into a scleral incision of the eye, wherein the inner wall surfaces (9, 10) of the injection chamber (8) also the not rotationally symmetrical cross section of the sensor implant(8) and prevent rotation of the sensor implant (2) about a rotational axis lying in the injection direction (11).
