titleOfInvention Apparatus and method for obtaining a layer graft of the human cornea
abstract The device described is used to obtain a layer graft of the human cornea from a Corneo scleral disc by means of liquid or gas injection, and has according to the invention - A holding device (12) for the scleral disc (11); - At least one on the holding device (12) formed access zone (22) to the scleral disc held in this (11), in which a hollow needle (26) in the edge region of the cornea (18) through an opening in the scleral disc (11) between Descemet membrane and stroma of the cornea is insertable; and - An at least in the access zone (22) against the holding device (12) or scleral disc held therein (11) engageable, elastic sealing element (33) for sealing clamping the scleral disc (11) and inserted through the opening hollow needle (26) at least in the area of the access zone (22). With the invention, a layer graft of the human cornea (Cornea) can be obtained easily and reliably from a Corneo scleral disc by means of liquid or gas injection.
