abstract |
The invention relates to a nitrogen oxide storage catalytic converter (40) for an exhaust system of a motor vehicle, having a carrier body (32) on which a first layer (14) is arranged, which has nitrogen oxide storage components (10) and noble metal components (12), and with a second layer (42) having noble metal components (12) and being substantially free of oxygen storage components (34). Here, the second layer (42) of the support body (32) is further spaced than the first layer (14). Between the first layer (14) and the second layer (42) an intermediate layer (46) is arranged, by means of which the first layer (14) and the second layer (42) are separated from one another. |
