titleOfInvention Methods and systems for providing radios to talkgroups
abstract Methods and systems for providing a radio to one or more talkgroups are disclosed. At least one embodiment consists of a process performed by a Radio Access Network (RAN) device. The RAN device causes a callout message to be transmitted to a radio. The callout message consists of a call endpoint identifier and trigger data for causing the radio to initiate a provisioning call over the RAN based on (or including) the call endpoint identifier. The RAN device detects a provisioning call initiation event associated with the radio and the call endpoint identifier and provides the radio to one or more talkgroups in response to detection of the provisioning call initiation event.
