titleOfInvention Heat / acoustic wave conversion component and heat / acoustic wave conversion unit
abstract A heat / acoustic wave converting member (1) having a first end surface and a second end surface comprising a partition wall (11) defining a plurality of cells (14) extending from the first end surface to the second end surface, the interior of the cells (14) is filled with a working fluid that oscillates to transmit sound waves, the heat / sound wave converting member (1) alternately converting heat exchanged between the partition (11) and the working fluid and energy resulting from oscillations of the working fluid into sound waves, wherein a hydraulic diameter HD of the heat / acoustic wave converting member (1) is 0.4 mm or less, where the hydraulic diameter HD is defined as HD = 4xS / C, where S denotes an area of a cross section of each cell perpendicular to the cell extension direction; and C denotes a circumference of the cross section, wherein the heat / acoustic wave converting member (1) has an open end area of 60% or more and 93% or less at each end face, characterized in that the partition wall (11) has an arithmetic surface roughness (Ra) on the surface of 3 µm or more and 20 µm or less.
