abstract A method of inspecting a light source module for defects comprising: Preparing a board having a light emitting device thereon and a lens covering the light emitting device (S 100); Applying a current to the light emitting device to turn on the light emitting device (S110); Imaging the lens with the light emitting device turned on to obtain an image of the lens (S120); marked by, Calculating a central symmetry which means a symmetry of a light output distribution from the center of the lens based on the obtained image (S 130); and Compare the calculated central symmetry with a reference value to determine whether an asymmetrical light emission distribution has occurred (S140).
