abstract This connecting device is provided between a turbine housing of an exhaust gas turbocharger and a connection housing, preferably exhaust manifold housing of an internal combustion engine, wherein the turbine housing and the exhaust manifold housing are held in position by means of a band clamp having the first and second legs connected in cross-section V-shaped via a web acting on the outer peripheries of the turbine housing and the exhaust manifold housing corresponding and executed by type of juxtaposed first and second annular flanges support acting, such that on the one hand first and second clamping surfaces of the legs with third and fourth clamping surfaces of the support devices at first and second connection levels and on the other first and second radial support surfaces are in operative connection with each other at a support plane of the support devices. To optimize the connection device between the second clamping surface of the second leg and an inner support surface of the second edge flange, an intermediate ring is effective, which is stretched over the second and fourth clamping surface and a clamping surface portion of the intermediate ring against the inner support surface of the second annular flange.
