abstract Repulsive and emission-free method for the production of potassium sulfate ≥ 50% K 2 O from potassium chloride and ammonium sulfate by continuous conversion in aqueous solution. From the conversion solution, which contains about 50 percent of the KCl used and the ammonium chloride formed by reaction, solid CN fertilizers are obtained either by addition of additives such as diammonium phosphate, liquid NPK fertilizer solutions or by evaporation crystallization which ≥ 30% K 2 O and at the same time ≥ 12 Contain% N and can be made fine-grained or granulated.
