abstract The present invention relates to a detection layer on a substrate comprising perovskite crystals of the type ABX 3 and / or AB 2 X 4 , wherein A represents at least one mono-, di- or trivalent element from the 4th period of the Periodic Table, preferably, Sn, Ba, Pb, Bi, B represents a monovalent cation whose volume parameter in the respective element A satisfies the perovskite lattice formation, and X is selected from the anions of halides and pseudohalides, preferably from the anions chloride, bromide and iodide and mixtures thereof, a process for the preparation the detection layer, coated particles with the perovskite crystals, as well as detectors with the detection layers according to the invention.
