Reverse osmosis or nanofiltration membranes and processes for their preparation |
abstract |
The invention relates to the field of polymer chemistry and relates to reverse osmosis or nanofiltration membranes, as used for example for the treatment of process water, for seawater desalination. The object of the present invention is to specify reverse osmosis or nanofiltration membranes which have good to very good fouling properties. The object is achieved by reverse osmosis or nanofiltration membranes, consisting of a carrier layer on which a porous support layer, thereon a separation-active layer and thereon a cover layer are arranged, wherein the separation-active layer of polyamide with acid chloride groups on the surface of the separation-active layer, and wherein the cover layer consists of a polymer containing functional groups, and the functional groups of the cover layer are chemically reactive coupled to the acid chloride groups of the polyamide of the release active layer. The object is further achieved by a method in which immediately after the release-active layer of polyamide at least one cover layer is applied. |
