The invention relates to shaped catalyst bodies of metal oxides, which are equipped with palladium and gold and an alkali compound and optionally further dopants, characterized in that the shaped catalyst bodies are rings with a length of 1 mm to 2 mm, an outer diameter of 3 mm to 5 mm, an inner diameter of 2 mm to 3 mm and a wall thickness of 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm. The invention further relates to its use in the production of vinyl acetate by gas phase oxidation of acetic acid and ethylene. |
