The crease tendency of a cotton or other cellulosic textile should be reduced. This was achieved by contacting the textile with an oxidizing agent which oxidizes vicinal OH groups in the anhydroglucose ring of the cellulose to carbonyl groups, and an amino group-containing polymer and, if desired, subsequent ironing. |
