The invention relates to a thermal sublimation paper for printing with inks, in particular with inkjet inks, in which a thermal transfer layer to be printed is formed on a base paper. In the thermal transfer layer are thermoplastic particles having a particle size of 0.3 to 5 microns and a melting point of 35 ° C to 150 ° C. This thermal sublimation paper can be advantageously produced by applying an aqueous coating slip to a base paper in a paper or coater on or offline, containing thermoplastic particles and suitable components for forming a hydrophilic thermal transfer layer, and then drying. The thermal sublimation paper can be used to advantage for printing flat materials, in particular films and textiles. |
