abstract In a first aspect, the present application is directed to a method of making a tissue model having utility structures. In another aspect, the application is directed to tissue models available in this manner and to their use as models of tissue engineering, in particular tumorigenesis including angiogenesis in the tissue model. Finally, a method for testing and identifying drug candidates including treatment strategies is provided.
