abstract Process for treating surfaces of plastic objects produced in a 3D printing process, including a coloring step - a dyeing mixture is prepared, with a dye selected from the group consisting of metal complex dyes, acid dyes, reactive dyes, azo dyes, disperse dyes, and mixtures thereof, being dissolved in a solvent, with the solvent containing between 0.05 g and 50 g of the dye are added, - the dyeing mixture is heated to a dyeing temperature between 60°C and 180°C, - the plastic objects for coloring are placed in the heated coloring mixture for a period between 5 minutes and 6 hours, the coloring temperature not exceeding the melting point of the material of the plastic objects, wherein in a washing step of a pre-treatment step carried out before the coloring step, the plastic objects for are soaked in water for a predetermined period of time, and in a surface treatment step carried out before the soaking step, the surface of the plastic articles is blasted using plastic shots to smooth the surface of the molded articles.
