abstract In previous HME (humid and moisture exchanger, heat and moisture exchanger), the particle filter effect is very low or only with great effort to implement and not sufficiently stable. The aim of the invention is the realization of an effective and time-stable particle filter function of HME with reduced effort. This is achieved with a filter material, which is a foam in which planar structures are made of a viscous liquid. The filter material is suitable both for particle filtration and for Atemluft- or gas humidification.
