abstract | The invention relates to a method for determining the cleaning performance of a formulation. The method provides a) the formulation, b) contacting a test article with the formulation, the test article being contaminated with a proteinaceous test contaminant, c) leaving the contaminated test article in contact with the formulation to clean the contaminated test article, f) optionally rinsing the test soil remaining on the test body and g) quantitatively analyzing the test soil remaining on the test body, the quantitative analysis of the remaining test soil removing the remaining test soil from the test body. The method facilitates the evaluation of the cleaning performance of hard surface cleaning formulations, particularly medical devices, with respect to proteinaceous contaminants. |
