titleOfInvention Method for cooling a belt-shaped substrate
abstract The invention relates to a method for cooling a band-shaped substrate (10) arranged within a vacuum chamber (11), which partially wraps around a cooling roller (15), the surface of the substrate (10) not coming into contact with the cooling roller (15). in a region in which the substrate (10) contacts the cooling roller (15) is charged with particles and wherein a vapor or gaseous medium flows on a surface of the cooling roller (15) not wrapped by the belt-shaped substrate (10). According to the invention, the cooling roller (15) is cooled to a temperature at which at least constituents of the steam or gaseous medium impinging on the cooling roller (15) merge into the solid state of matter.
