| abstract |
The invention relates to devices for welding an annular object in a jacket made of a plastic. These are characterized in particular by the fact that the object can be easily provided with the jacket. For this purpose, the apparatus has a main body for the annular object placed between the two film bodies of the plastic and two electrodes for an area outside and inside the annular object. Each of the electrodes has a core of a two-terminal electrically conductive material for an electric power source. Furthermore, this has at least one wound around the core band or wire-shaped body from at least partially both thermally conductive and electrically non-conductive material. In addition, the ribbon or wire-shaped body bridges the spaced apart terminals of the core such that the electrodes are rings for the article disposed therebetween. The device is particularly suitable for surface coils, which may have an annular shape, as annular objects which are to be placed directly on the skin. |
