abstract | A capacitor including a solid electrolytic capacitor element comprising a porous anode body and an anode terminal having a relatively large thickness and / or width (e.g., wire / ribbon) is provided. The connection part is electrically connected to the anode body for connection to an anode end part. The connector has a thickness that is at least about 10% of the height of the porous anode body and / or a width that is at least about 20% of the width of the anode body to improve the contact points between the anode body and the connector and thereby to reduce the ESR. A part of the connection part extends from a surface of the anode body in the longitudinal direction. At least one notch may be formed in the part of the terminal part extending from the anode body, such as by laser, cutting, punching or sawing, and may serve as a point of electrical connection between the anode end part and the terminal part. |
