An analyzer for determining a parameter of a liquid sample, in particular a digestion parameter such as chemical oxygen demand, total carbon content, total phosphate content, total iron content or total nitrogen content, can such a digestion reactor as well - A conveying and metering device which is adapted to take from a sample template a predetermined volume of a liquid as a liquid sample and to transport the liquid sample in the digestion reactor; and A sensor for detecting a measured value correlated with the measurand of the liquid sample received in the reactor.
