The invention relates to a conversion element (5) comprising at least one phosphor having an anisotropic molecular structure, the molecules of the phosphor each having at least one transition dipole moment (7), the transition dipole moments (7) summing an anisotropic orientation within the conversion element (5 ), wherein the phosphor is adapted to convert an electromagnetic primary radiation generated by a radiation source into an electromagnetic secondary radiation, the secondary electromagnetic radiation having an anisotropic directionality. The invention further relates to a method for producing such a conversion element (5). |
