titleOfInvention Enamel powder, metal component with a surface portion provided with an enamel coating and method for producing such a metal component
abstract An enamel powder for producing a mechanically and thermally highly durable and at the same time readily processable coating is present according to the invention as a mixture comprising 100 parts of a glass powder, optionally 10-22 parts of coarse glass grains which are larger than the particles of the glass powder, 0,1-7, 5 parts of ceramic fibers, glass fibers or carbon fibers, as well as alternatively or in combination with each other contains 10-21 parts of a powdery present oxide compound of a light metal or 1-5 parts of a powder of a heavy metal. A metal component, which is provided with a coating produced from inventive enamel powder, withstands a flow by hot gas safely stood. Therefore, the coating according to the invention is particularly suitable for coating parts exposed to exhaust gas flow for internal combustion engines. The invention also mentions a method by which such metal components can be provided with an enamel coating.
