titleOfInvention | Method and device for machining an axial bearing surface between wheel rim and wheel brake |
abstract | Method for machining an axial bearing surface (4) between wheel brake (3) and wheel rim (2), comprising the following steps: - Providing a wheel rim (2) or a wheel brake (3); - Applying a suspension (5), consisting of a fluid and hard particles, on the axial bearing surface (4) of the wheel rim (2) or the wheel brake (3) or on a pressure plate (6) of a device (1); - Pressing the pressure plate (6) on the axial bearing surface (4) of the wheel brake (3) or wheel rim (2) with a defined pressure for a defined time; - Removing the wheel rim (2) or wheel brake (3) of the pressure plate (6) after the defined time; Removing the suspension (5) at least from the wheel rim (2) or wheel brake (3), and a device for machining the axial contact surface (4) between the wheel brake (3) and wheel rim (2) according to such a method, comprising a pressure plate (6) having a counter-pressure surface (6a) as a support for the axial bearing surface (4) of the wheel brake (3) or wheel rim (2), and an axially displaceable punch (7) for exerting a defined pressure on the axial abutment surface opposite surface (9) of the wheel brake (3) or wheel rim (2) over a defined time. |
