abstract |
The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of a copper- and chromium-containing mixed oxide using a decanter and the copper and chromium-containing mixed oxide prepared by the process according to the invention and its use as a catalyst. The process of the invention comprises the following steps: (a) providing a solution containing copper and chromium, suspension or slurry, (b) concentrating the copper and chromium containing solution, suspension or slurry by separation of liquid by means of a decanter to form an intermediate (c) drying the concentrated intermediate, (d) optionally granulating the dried intermediate to obtain granules, and (e) calcining the product of step (c) or (d) to obtain a copper and chromium containing mixed oxide. |
