abstract The invention relates to a method for producing a glass solder foundation seal in which a paste having glass soldering powder is applied to the surface of a screen having areas with a coating impermeable to the paste on its underside and in the screen meshes, and the paste through the screen is pressed onto a substrate and then dried, wherein the pressure is applied to an intermediate carrier as a substrate from which the dried glass solder foundation seal can be completely detached.
