titleOfInvention Sonar method
abstract The new method of processing single incident direction signals with LFM signal components should be designed to provide an alternative to using an optimal filter. For this purpose, the method has the following features: a) the signals of an incident direction are obtained by a directional formation of signals of a hydrophone arrangement, b) the incident direction signals include LFM (linear frequency modulation) signal components of reflections from objects to be detected, the LFM signal components having a LFM slope with a LFM pitch angle in a time-frequency diagram, c) the steps of the method comprise the following individual steps: d) forming spectrogram matrix values of signals of a single direction of incidence, such that the spectrogram matrix values have a parameter time, a parameter frequency and a parameter intensity, e) gradient formation in the normal direction of the LFM slope of the spectrogram matrix values in such a way that gradient matrix values are obtained which, in addition to the previous parameters of time and frequency, now have a parameter of an intensity gradient, f) radon transformation of the gradient matrix values on the basis of the LFM slope to obtain a radon sum function such that the radon sum function has only one parameter of added intensity slopes as a function of the parameter time, wherein an object to be detected is shown as a maximum-minimum Pair with an intermediate zero appears, the time value of the intermediate zero being used in further steps of the method for a distance calculation of the object to be detected.
