abstract The invention relates to a method for producing a bonded coating on a workpiece made of steel using a dipping paint containing cationic functional groups and a dip paint for this purpose. In order to be able to produce thin sliding layers with uniform layer thickness, a tribologically active pigment is added to the dip paint for producing the bonded coating layer with a reduced coefficient of friction, and the bonded coating layer is applied to the workpiece in a cathodic dip coating process under DC voltage with cationic wiring of the workpiece.
