titleOfInvention Laser arrangement for generating a double frequency-converted laser radiation
abstract The invention relates to a laser arrangement for generating a double-frequency-converted laser radiation, comprising: an active medium (5) which generates a first laser radiation (6) at a first frequency by irradiation of pumped light (2); a first laser resonator (11) within which the first laser radiation (6) circulates in resonance; a first nonlinear crystal (9) disposed within the first laser cavity (11) and provided and arranged to receive the first laser radiation (6) into a second laser radiation (10) at a second frequency higher than the first frequency is to convert; a second laser resonator (14) within which the second laser radiation (10) circulates in resonance; a second nonlinear crystal (16) disposed within the second laser cavity (14) and provided and arranged for directing the second laser radiation (10) into third laser radiation (17) having a third frequency higher than the second frequency is to be converted, wherein the first laser resonator (11) and the second laser resonator (14) are arranged to each other such that they have a common optical section (15), which both of the in the first laser resonator (11) rotating first laser radiation (6 ) as well as by the second laser resonator (14) rotating second laser radiation (10) is irradiated. The invention is characterized in that the first laser resonator (11) and the active medium (5) are designed and arranged such that the first laser radiation (6) consists of exactly two adjacent longitudinal modes (30, 31) with two frequencies the first frequency of the first laser radiation (6) is a sum frequency of these two frequencies, and that the second laser resonator (14) has an optical path length which allows resonance of only a single longitudinal mode of the second laser radiation (10).
