titleOfInvention Optimization of fogging properties of a solution or a colloid
abstract Inhalation represents, for example, in the treatment of respiratory diseases or in anesthesia one of the most important forms of application of active ingredients. A disadvantage currently in the prior art that not every solution or suspension can be so misted with a common nebulizer that one for the inhalative therapy results in a suitable particle size distribution of the aerosol produced. The invention therefore relates to a method for nebulizing a solution or a colloid to form aerosol particles, wherein the solution or the colloid contains at least one additive, wherein the additive is a low molecular weight compound or a polyether or a polysorbate, and aerosol physical parameters of the nebulization of the Solution or colloid particles are adjusted via the concentration of the additive in the solution or the colloid. The invention further relates to an aerosol obtainable by this process for pulmonary administration in a patient for the diagnosis or therapy of a disease.
