abstract In various embodiments, an illumination device for generating a light emission is provided, comprising: a light source configured to generate light having a first dominance wavelength; a first converter configured to absorb the light generated by the light source and to emit light having a second dominant wavelength greater than the first dominant wavelength; and a second converter configured to absorb a light portion of the light emitted from the first converter and to emit light so that the light emission has a third dominant wavelength which is greater than the second dominant wavelength.
