A white light emitting device includes a blue light emitting diode (LED) (15) emitting blue light, a yellow phosphor (12) excited by the blue light to emit yellow light and selected from the group consisting of Y 3 Al 5 O 12 and Lu 3 Al 5 O 12 , and a red phosphor (14) and a green phosphor (16) which are excited by the blue light to emit red light and green light, respectively white light obtained by a mixture of the blue light and the excited light corresponds to a range represented by the coordinate points (0.28, 0.28), (0.24, 0.20), (0.26, 0.19) and (0.30, 0.27) is defined in a CIE 1931 color coordinate system. |
