MODIFYING THE GLYCOSYLATION PROFILE OF THE GLYCOSYLATION CENTER OF A PEPTIDE |
abstract |
The invention relates to a method for modifying the glycosylation profile of a given glycosylation site contained in a target peptide. The process involves recombinantly producing a fusion protein from an imprinting protein and the target peptide containing the given glycosylation site. The imprinting protein is a glycoprotein having at least one glycosylation site contained in the glycoprotein. In recombinant production, the predetermined glycosylation site of the target peptide essentially receives the glycosylation profile of the imprinting protein. |
