titleOfInvention | METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MANAGING AND CONFIGURING TRACKER COMPONENTS FOR TRACKING GNSS SIGNALS WITH INCREASED SENSITIVITY |
abstract | The present invention relates to location positioning systems, and more particularly to a method and apparatus for making accuracy enhancements to navigation calculations of a GPS receiver. In a first aspect, the invention provides a GNSS tracking architecture with extreme sensitivity. In other aspects, the architecture includes multiple loops per channel, with the loops being implemented with hardware and / or software. In still other aspects, the architecture includes a multi-level lock detection algorithm designed to provide a trade-off between speed and sensitivity that is not possible with existing tracking architectures. |
