titleOfInvention | One step process for purifying (blood) plasma proteins, such as albumin from mixtures |
abstract | The invention relates to a one-step process for purifying a (blood) plasma protein from a mixture containing this (blood) plasma protein, comprising applying the (blood) plasma protein to a sorbent comprising a solid support surface having pyridine-4-carboxamido moieties and 3-carboxamidopropionic acid residues, and eluting the (blood) plasma protein from the sorbent. The present invention provides a simple and inexpensive method of purifying corresponding (blood) plasma proteins, the method being characterized by the added benefit of substantially complete removal of Factor XI and Factor XIa from the (blood) plasma protein. |
