abstract |
The present invention relates to a liquid-crystal medium containing a component A consisting of one or more compounds of the formula X. in which the parameters have the respective meanings given in the claims or in the text, as well as the corresponding, novel mesogenic compounds and their preparation. The present invention also relates to the use of these liquid-crystal media, in particular in components for high-frequency engineering, as well as those components which contain the media according to the invention and the production and use of these components. The components according to the invention are particularly suitable for phase shifters in the microwave and in the millimeter-wave range, for microwave and millimeter-wave array antennas and very particularly for so-called tunable reflectarrays. |
