titleOfInvention Process for the preparation of amine boranes of the type R3NBH3
abstract The invention relates to a process for the efficient production of amine boranes of the type R 3 NBH 3 by catalytic hydrodehalogenation of amine BX 3 adducts (X = Cl, Br). Aminoboranes of the type R 3 NBH 3 are valuable reducing agents and hydroboration agents in chemical synthesis. Furthermore, these compounds are extensively useful as hydrogen storage materials. Other applications are the use of amine boranes as precursors for BN compounds, which are often used as hard materials. The invention has the technical object of developing a process for the preparation of amine boranes of the type R 3 NBH 3 , which allows the preparation of the amine boranes under mild conditions without the use of metallic aluminum or elemental boron and expensive amines in high yields. According to the invention, the technical object is achieved in that BX 3 -Trialkylaminenaddukte the general formula R 3 NBX 3 with X = Cl, Br in the presence of a catalyst based on transition metal borides and metal silicides of the eighth subgroup (Fe, Co, Ni, Ru , Rh, Pd, Os, Ir, Pt) at temperatures of 40 to 200 ° C, preferably 100 to 160 ° C and pressures of less than 200 bar, preferably 40 to 60 bar, are hydrodehalogenated.
